Youth Aviation Program
Program Purpose
One of the more difficult things to do in aviation is to get the younger generations involved, but with our Youth Aviation Program we plan to get kids of all ages interested in being future pilots and/or mechanics.
Ground School: A Path To The Private Pilot Written Exam
The YAP (Youth Aviation Program) is completely FREE. We meet every Saturday from 9 am to 12 pm. If you are in middle or high school you can enroll! The kids learn in a classroom environment with a Certified Flight Instructor. In the classroom they can take notes, ask questions, and prepare themselves for the FAA written exam that they can take when they turn 16! There is no commitment so show up or take off whenever you want!
Knowledge is Safety
Knowing how a plane operates gives you the ability to become a safer pilot. There will be opportunities for the YAP members to see airplanes in the middle of routine maintenance and/or repairs. This will give the students insight on what to look out for, how to diagnose a problem, and avoid potentially hazardous situations.

To sign up for YAP please show up during any of our business hours with a parent or guardian to fill out some quick paperwork! No appointment needed! Feel free to sign up in person on the Saturday you would like to attend!
